First Flare and Repair has added a fleet of trailer mounted, mobile nitrogen generators capable of  producing nitrogen in the field. Each unit is capable of exceeding our onsite needs for nitrogen applications.

Nitrogen purging during the flaring process allows for pressurization. This pressurization is extremely important in helping to push residual vapors out once the original vapor pressure begins to reduce. 

Nitrogen blankets are commonly used to control moisture within a tank car thus protecting against tank corrosion, chemical oxidation and most importantly fire or explosion prevention. In certain cases, products can be contaminated by moisture. Nitrogen blankets “pad” the product after loading, creating a layer of nitrogen gas that sits on top of the liquid product in the tank car thus reducing the load’s exposure to moisture. Empty cars can be nitrogen padded as well prior to storage to replace oxygen inside the car thus reducing the risk of fire or explosion. 

 First Flare and Repair has a fleet of mobile boilers available to provide steam services whenever the need arises. In some cases our customers prefer to steam purge instead of purging with nitrogen and these boilers are very efficent in that process.
